The brand-new rankings were released Tuesday morning, April 23, and determined by performance on state-required tests, graduation, and how well they prepare students for college.
The highest-ranked school outside New York City is on Long Island: Jericho, at No. 13 statewide and 104th nationally.
The top-rated high school in Westchester County is Edgemont at No. 14 in the state and 128th in the nation, with Bronxville, at No. 16 in the state and 151st nationally.
Another Westchester school, Horace Greeley is No. 19 in New York and 158th nationally.
Another Westchester school, Byram Hills in Armonk, is No. 21 in NY and 168th nationally.
A second Long Island school, Garden City, is 22nd in the state and 199th in the country.
Also, on Long Island, Manhasset at No. 23rd in the state, and Great Neck South is 26th.
The final Westchester school in the Top 30 is Irvington-on-Hudson at No. 29.
